Healing Trauma With Hypnosis (PSH Therapy)

In recent times health professionals have understood that the road to good emotional health lies not in reliving trauma or blaming others for our problems. Healing trauma with hypnosis can be done safely, within the privacy of the subconscious mind.

Emotional problems are now dealt with in a variety of ways, but one method gaining in popularity is hypnosis used in PSH Therapy (Private Subconscious-mind Healing).

All of us as children had limited reasoning abilities. Now as adults we understand things differently. Given the opportunity to review old dramas or traumas in a mature way, we can easily let go of a lot of emotions that are outdated and inappropriate.

PSH hypnosis treatment observes the protocol of ‘privacy’ between the therapist and client. The treatment does not involve cognitive behavioural intervention, counselling or speculation about the problem and its origins.

Rather than teach people how to cope with the symptoms of their emotional problems, PSH therapy allows people to resolve their own subconscious causes. Healing takes place within the privacy of the inner mind, allowing people to resolve problems they may have been struggling with for years.

Precisely how a session unfolds depends on the individual. Usually a PSH therapist will guide the client to shift focus from normal logical awareness to an inner focus.

The experience of a hypnotic trance is a state that you naturally go in and out of daily. Trance is a deeper kind of inner absorption, mindfulness and concentration.

During a hypnosis trance in PSH therapy, the mind is open to visualising and creating a rich sensory experience. The more real this experience becomes, the more effect it has on your waking behaviour.

The client is aware and in control, usually experiencing some degree of mental and physical relaxation. The person usually can hear what the therapist is saying but is not required to speak or to reveal information during the therapeutic process. The therapist guides the client to that part of the mind that holds the memory of the original offending emotions. Subsequently, the client reviews them and releases whatever is outdated or inappropriate.

During the process, clients gain insight and are able to find their own solutions. The result is an inner strength that builds self-esteem and confidence in their own skills and abilities.

A good Hypnotherapist knows how to guide you into hypnosis to help you gently release blocks and fears. As a trained PSH hypnosis therapist I can help you create inner beliefs that will set the wheels in motion to make positive changes in the way you think, feel and behave.

PSH hypnosis therapists are trained at the International Centre for Subconscious- mind Training and Research in Queensland and must undergo at least a year’s clinical practice under supervision before being registered.
