We look forward to having time off work, catching up with friends, socialising, having a few drinks and indulging in some yummy, delicious food.
Yes, it’s so easy to get swept up with the festivities and forget about moderation. Like it or not, at some point the realisation hits us, we have overindulged, once again.
Birthday or wedding celebrations, work parties and events, are well known for drink binging and losing control. Overindulging in food, drink, drugs and hanging out with the wrong crowd can lead to an unhealthy lifestyle.
Frequently, excessive nights of partying and drinking too much, leave you shattered during the daylight hours.
That’s because those big “binge nights” commonly leave you high wired, unable to sleep and feeling exhausted the next day.
Drinking too much? Hypnosis will help you sober up. For some of us it becomes a bit of a habit, for others a very bad habit. But there are ways to help you moderate your alcohol consumption. A key party survival suggestion is to avoid top-ups from friends or waiters. Finish your glass and pick up a fresh one each time, so you know exactly how much you’ve had. Decide in advance how much you are going to drink and stick to it.
Similarly, drinking too much can easily lead you to other habits, addictions or substance abuse.
It’s no surprise that many party revellers just like you and me, are ready to get back on track. Too much rich food and few too many glasses of ‘whatever’ was on offer, soon loses its appeal. A friend of mine endearingly referred to this state as “wobbly boots”. So if drinking too much and being legless at work parties has not impressed the boss, today is a perfect time to start with some personal improvements.
